Three City Councilors will hold Listening Posts at the Public Works Open House, 3810 Napoleon Lane, on Saturday, May 21, 2022.

The Listening Posts, featuring councilors Mayor ProTem Megan Alter, Mayor Bruce Teague, and Janice Weiner, will allow residents to voice their concerns on any local issue. Each councilor will be present at separate times:

  • Mayor ProTem Megan Alter: 9-10:30 a.m.
  • Mayor Bruce Teague: 12:30-2 p.m.
  • Pauline Taylor: 3:30-5 p.m.

Council listening posts provide opportunities for the community to engage with City leaders on topics that are important to them in an informal setting. Members attend these events and report back to the entire Council on what they have heard from the community during their discussions. All residents are encouraged to stop by to discuss any issue. No formal agenda or presentation is planned.

The Public Works Open House features many fun and educational activities, including a massive quilt showcase from the Old Capitol Quilters Guild, indoor roller skating, live music, food trucks, City information booths, tours of City vehicles and facilities, and much more.
