How much do you know about the environment and sustainability? Let's find out with this Earth Day Eco Trivia! 

Earth Day Eco Trivia will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the East Side Recycling Environmental Education Center, 2401 Scott Blvd SE. Admission is free, and there will be prizes for the winners. This event is family-friendly.

Iowa City Parks and Forestry staff has a full slate of celebrations set for the end of April! These events are made possible by collaborations with Green Iowa AmeriCrops, Trees Forever, and Iowa DNR staff. 

  • Tuesday, April 23: Arbor Day celebration at Shimek Elementary School 
  • Wednesday, April 24: Tree planting at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area with City High School and Hoover Elementary School students.
  • Friday, April 26: Tree planting celebration at Willowwind School and Regency Heights

Check out Earth Fest from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area, 579 McCollister Blvd. 

Earth Fest will be fun for all ages with indoor and outdoor activities related to the environment, animals, and sustainability, including live music, raptors, fun activities, games, and local environmental organization, and a free sapling giveaway. Win prizes generously donated by the Iowa Children's Museum, Iowa City Parks and Recreation, and City of Iowa City Recycling.

This is a family-friendly event. No fee to participate.
