You’re invited to help the Iowa City Municipal Airport ring in 100 years with a birthday bash!

Bring the family out June 8-10, 2018, for three days of fun, festivities, and flying at the airport, 1801 S. Riverside Dr. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. 

This event features a variety of activities including a Friday evening balloon glow, along with crafts and games presented by the Iowa Children's Museum. Aircraft will be on display all weekend long and a variety of airplane rides, including a historic Ford Tri-Motor, will be offered during the party for a fee.

Free flights for kids ages 8-17 will be available from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday through the Iowa City Young Eagles, which gives youth interested in aviation an opportunity to take to the skies with a local pilot. Flights are 15 to 20 minutes. Pre-registration is required and can be done online.
