The Iowa City Public Art Advisory Committee will once again be accepting applications for the Iowa City Public Art Matching Grant Program, matching up to $2,000 for public art projects in 2019.
The deadline for proposals is Friday, March 22, 2019, at 5 p.m.
The Committee will consider visual, audio, or performance-based art. Examples include sculptures, murals, performances, readings, interactive exhibits, video productions, soundscapes, spoken word, and other mediums.
Eligible project proposals must be publicly accessible and viewable within Iowa City city limits. Art can be displayed or performed on private property with the property owner’s permission.
The online application and call to artists, which includes additional information on selection criteria, submission requirements, eligible expenses, and other conditions for the program, are available online at www.icgov.org/publicart.
Final selections will be determined by the Public Art Advisory Committee.
