On Aug. 18, 2021, Iowa City Animal Services received notification of a person who was bitten by a large black and tan Doberman Pinscher wearing a silver-pronged collar. According to the information provided, the bite occurred at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, on the corner of Rochester Avenue and Scott Boulevard. The victim was jogging when they were bitten. The person walking the Doberman was a woman in her late 50s or early 60s.

Iowa City Animal Services is looking to locate the owner of the dog for information regarding its rabies vaccination history. If anyone has information about the identity of the owner, they are encouraged to contact Iowa City Animal Services directly at 319-356-5295 or the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5275.
