At about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021, an individual reported being bitten by a chocolate-colored or brown Labrador-type puppy while walking the trails on the east side of Hickory Hill Park.

The dog was wearing a blue collar and was accompanied by an older white female. The female had short salt and pepper colored hair, darker rimmed glasses, and was wearing a chain necklace. The dog owner advised the individual that the dog was not vaccinated due to age and refused to provide any other personal information.

Iowa City Animal Services is looking to locate the owner of the dog for information regarding its health history. If anyone has information about the identity of the owner, they are encouraged to contact Iowa City Animal Services directly at 319-356-5295 or the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5275.
