The Iowa City Police Department is asking for the public's help as officers investigate two, overnight armed robberies.
The first incident happen Monday, Oct. 17 at roughly 3:20 a.m. at Kum and Go convenience store, 513 S. Riverside Dr., Iowa City. The clerk told police a lone man entered the store with a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The clerk was not hurt. The suspect was described as a black male, wearing a red hoodie and a black bandana that covered the bottom portion of his face.
