Looking for a fun and educational outlet for your child during Spring Break? Look no further than the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department's Spring Break Camp, scheduled March 13-17, 2017 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Registration begins Wednesday, Feb. 22.  

Camp activities will begin and end at Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, 220 S. Gilbert Street, and will include outdoor explorations, science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) activities and swimming plus some off-site field trips. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., although children may be checked in beginning at 7:30 a.m. and picked up between 4 and 5:30 p.m. at no additional charge.

Fees are $40 per day per child. For non-Iowa City residents, the cost is $45 per day.

Printed packets are also available at either recreation facility: Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, 220 S. Gilbert Street, or Mercer Park Aquatic Center/Scanlon Gym, 2701 Bradford Drive.

Registration may be completed in one of several ways:

  • Mail a completed registration form with payment to the Iowa City Recreation Division, 220 S. Gilbert Street, Iowa City, IA 52240
  • Fax a completed registration form along with a credit card number, expiration date, and signature to 319-356-5487. This service is available 24 hours per day.
  • Register in person at the Customer Service Desk at either recreation facility -- Robert A. Lee or Mercer /Scanlon.

Online registration is not available for Spring Break Camp.
