How can we make our community more accessible and inclusive for all people? That's the topic of the latest episode of the City's podcast, Iowa City Matters. This program offers an in-depth platform to inform residents about civic and community topics that impact their lives.

From infrastructure and buildings to programming and activities, when accessibility and inclusivity are considered in all aspects of our community everyone benefits. Listen to this episode to get an in-depth look at the role these play in both the public and private sector. This topic is being discussed as we recognize the anniversary of the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act, which was signed into law on July 26, 1990.

This episode is hosted by Assistant to the City Manager Simon Andrew. Our guests include accessibility advocate Jeffery Ford, City Building Inspector Tim Hennes, Program Coordinator for the Iowa University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, UI Center for Disabilities and Development Mike Hoenig, and Human Resources Director for the Arc of Southeast Iowa Alissa Voss.
