Iowa City Parks and Recreation offers a variety of adult recreational activities. Adults can get active, stay healthy and learn new skills by participating in our programs all year long.
Seasonal Program Registration
Registration is available online or in person at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, 220 S. Gilbert St., or Mercer Park Aquatic Center, 2701 Bradford Dr. Iowa City residents receive priority registration before non-residents.
For added convenience, register online anytime through our online registration system. Browse programs, view class details, check schedules, and enroll when registration is open. Program availability and registration dates may vary, so check online regularly for the most current information.

Cancellation Information
Iowa City Parks and Recreation uses Rainout Line to communicate cancellation information.
There are three ways to check or sign up for updates:
- Download the free app to your phone by searching Rainout Line.
- Visit rainoutline.com and search for "Iowa City Parks and Recreation."
- Call 319-346-7080 and listen for prompts.
Please note that the app is only updated during regular business hours of operation. This does not include nights and weekends.
Adult Sports Roster
Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of adult sports. For those participating in adult sports leagues, a roster may be required prior to the start of practice or games.
