Entry level Officer starting wage is $65,991 annually and certified Officer starting wage is commensurate with experience up to $98,087 annually. ILEA certified Officers also qualify for a $5,000 signing bonus. The residency requirement has recently been expanded to living within 25 miles of the corporate limits of Iowa City within one year of hire.

Rotation of 4 Days On, 2 Days Off

• Days - 6:45am to 3:15pm or 7:15am to 3:45pm
• Evenings - 2:45pm to 11:15pm or 3:15pm to 11:45pm
• Nights - 10:30pm to 7am or 11pm to 7:30am
• Investigations - hours vary
