Dr. Martin Luther Jr. Celebration of Human Rights Week
The start of a new year is a great time to get acquainted with some of the many outstanding organizations that serve our community, learn about volunteer opportunities, and get involved in something new!
Community engagement and social connection are two of ICSC’s four mission pillars (along with wellness and lifelong learning), and volunteering is a excellent way for older adults to channel free time, cultivate meaningful life experiences, and stay connected within the community.
As part of the weeklong Dr. Martin Luther Jr. Celebration of Human Rights, the Senior Center is hosting a senior-focused volunteer fair, highlighting both organizations that directly serve older adults and those that specifically recruit seniors to fulfill their volunteer needs. Join us for an afternoon of lively conversation, enlightening exploration, and community engagement. All are welcome to attend!
