People have been farming in Iowa for more than 3,000 years. This program explores the archaeological evidence for Ancestral Native Americans’ early forays into farming. We will see the artifacts and site features that provide clues about these earliest farmers. What were people growing and where? Some of their staple crops might surprise you.
