Each week this video lecture series will introduce you to how plants are named and organized as well as their uses as medicine, in the kitchen, and in the ecosystem. Using traits that can be mostly seen with the naked eye, this course will help you identify more than 50 common plant families of North America. You will also discover a few families that are mainly tropical but very important to human uses. Each week we'll watch two 30-minute lessons and discuss as a class. Membership required.
