The City’s Historic Preservation Commission and the Friends of Historic Preservation will host the 36th annual Historic Preservation Awards at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 17, 2019, in Meeting Room A at the Iowa City Public Library, 123 S. Linn St.
This recognition program acknowledges property owners, consultants, contractors, craftspersons, and community organizations for their preservation efforts and completion of historically appropriate projects. Institutional properties will be recognized in several award categories including, Paint and Exterior Finishes; Rehabilitation; and Additions and New Construction.
Light refreshments will be served beginning at 5 p.m. There is no cost to attend and all are welcome.
