Iowa City Senior Center

The Iowa City Senior Center (ICSC) is a community center offering programs, services, and facilities geared toward older adults. Membership is open to anyone age 50+ and includes access to the Senior Center's fitness facilities. Our home base is located in downtown Iowa City, and programming is offered at various locations throughout Johnson County.

ICSC's mission is to enhance quality of life by creating opportunities to support wellness, social connections, community engagement, and lifelong learning for a diverse and growing older adult population. Our vision is to extend social involvement and end social isolation for people age 50+.

As a department of the City of Iowa City, Senior Center operations are financially supported by local property taxes with additional funding from participation fees, grants, and generous donations to Friends of Iowa City Senior Center.
