Winter/Spring 2017 Activity Guide

Take a look at all the Iowa City Recreation Division can offer you and your family this season. The Recreation Activity Guide is now available online and will be available in hardcopy at several City facilities the week of December 5. Those facilities include the following locations: Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center, 220 South Gilbert Street; Mercer Aquatic Center/Scanlon Gymnasium, 2701 Bradford Drive; and Iowa City Public Library, 123 South Linn Street; Iowa City City Hall, 410 E. Washington Street.

Hard copies of the Winter/Spring 2017 Activity Guides will be available the second week of December at Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center and Mercer Park Aquatic Center.

Registration for winter/spring activities opens: Wednesday, December 14

Online registration

Online registration gets underway first, at 12:01 a.m. (one minute past midnight) on the day registration opens. You’ll be able to sign up and pay for classes online through the ActiveNet system.

In-person registration

In-person registration gets underway at 8 a.m. on the day registration opens (see above) at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center at 220 S. Gilbert Street, and at the Mercer Park Aquatic Center / Scanlon Gym at 2701 Bradford Drive. To help mitigate errors, we do accept registration over the phone.

2016-2017 Winter Break Camp (K-6 grade)

Registration is now underway for the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department's Winter Break Camp, which keeps kids busy, learning, and entertained during their holiday break from school. This year's camp activities focus on science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). The camp is scheduled for Dec. 27-30 and Jan. 3-4 for kindergarten through sixth grade students.
