Earth Fest
Join the Iowa City Green Iowa AmeriCorps team and Iowa City Parks and Recreation on Saturday, April 27, 2019 for Earth Fest! Earth Fest will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area, 579 McCillister Blvd. 
Earth Fest will be fun for all ages with indoor and outdoor activities related to the environment, animals, and sustainability, including live music, raptors, prizes, fun activities, games, local environmental organizations, a free sapling giveaway and more!
This is a family-friendly event, with no fee to participate.

Youth Lacrosse Clinic
The Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce lacrosse is coming to Mercer Park this spring!
We will host a one-time clinic on Sunday, April 28, 2019.
Youth grades 2nd through 3rd grade will meet from 2 to 2:50 p.m. Youth grades 4th through 5th grade will meet from 3 to 4 p.m.
Cost is $8 per child.
All programs/clinics will take place at Mercer Park, 2701 Bradford Drive. Programs/clinics will focus on the teaching fundamental skills including; cradling, scooping, throwing and catching while incorporating short sided games that are fast and full of excitement. All equipment is provided.
These programs are made possible through the US Lacrosse First Stick grant. The First Stick program awards free lacrosse equipment to communities so affordable and accessible youth lacrosse activities can be provided to area youth.

Earth Friendly Forum
This lecture series will take place in the Social Hall at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center, 220 S. Gilbert St. All lectures will begin at 7 p.m. Childcare will be provided for attendees. Light refreshments will be served.
