The Neighborhood Outreach office encourages neighborhood action and provides ideas and resources that can help shape the future of a neighborhood. The Neighborhood Outreach Coordinator assists Neighborhood Associations to work through their short- and long-term needs that best serve the interests of the neighborhood within the goals of the larger community. The coordinator acts as a liaison between the Neighborhood Association and the City of Iowa City government to address neighborhood concerns and interests by keeping neighbors informed of city issues and providing the resources to promote involvement.
