Help Support our Flight Sim Purchase!

The Iowa City Airport Commission is considering the acquisition of a Redbird Flight Training device (TD2) 3-screen simulator for use by flight training students and area pilots!

More information about the Redbird Simulator can be found here:

The Iowa City Airport Commission is offering an introductory pledge rate to pre-purchase time on the device as a way to offset the acquisition costs.  We are offering time in 10-hour blocks at a rate of $45/hour.  We expect the retail rate for using the simulator will be $60-65 per hour.  You can lock in your introductory rate and get 2 years of time to use those hours (time will begin when the simulator comes online).

To pledge to support the project and get your time secured.  Please follow the survey link

The Iowa City Airport Commission will accept pledges until November 30, 2019 after that, we will make a final determination if the acquisition will be completed.
