Customers on the Tuesday curbside service route may notice some delays in organic waste collection due to snowy, icy driving conditions. Crews will complete Tuesday’s routes for yard and food waste on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019. The City of Iowa City fills vacant police officer and firefighter openings from a hiring list certified by the Civil Service Commission. The certified hiring lists are created through special candidate application and testing processes held when the existing hiring lists are exhausted.
