Johnson County and the City of Iowa City have been awarded a technical assistance grant to bring field mediation services to our community - an approach that helps address nonviolent interpersonal conflicts through dialogue, de-escalation, and dignity-centered practices.

Information sessions will be held from 6-7 p.m. July 29, 2026, at the North Liberty Library, 520 W. Cherry St., North Liberty, and 6-7 p.m. July 30, 2026, at the Hills Community Center, 110 Main St., Hills.

Both events are open to community members across the county to learn about the field of mediation work and how it may serve the North Liberty, Hills, and other area communities.
