Come meet your new best pet pal at the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center's Spring Open House!

The annual open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the shelter, 3910 Napoleon Lane. 

Activities include painting projects with your dog, a scavenger hunt, storytime for the kids, a tour of the facility, and a groundbreaking ceremony for the facility's newest addition!

The annual open house is an opportunity for the community to see all the work that the shelter does, meet the animals the shelter helps, and to learn what resources are available for community members.
