Video Update: Project Cleanup, Climate Fest, and Art and Craft Drive

Iowa City Update is a weekly video featuring City of Iowa City projects, programs, and events. Topics this week include a new program to support community-led cleanup efforts, a weeklong celebration of climate action, and the results of a successful arts and crafts supply drive.
This program was developed to support volunteer-led community cleanup efforts. Kits include an instruction sheet, one pair of reusable gloves, and one 16-gallon orange plastic garbage bag.
Back for its sixth year, Climate Fest celebrates the many ways our community takes action to address climate change with a series of free, family-friendly events.
The Art and Craft Supplies Pop-up Events, held in August, redistributed over 3,000 pounds of usable items to artists, crafters, teachers, students, and organizations.
