The Iowa City Senior Center (ICSC) is excited to host the Soul Train Block Party from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, outside the Iowa City Senior Center at 28 S. Linn St. This vibrant block party will transform downtown Iowa City into a celebration of music, dance, and community.

Dance to the beats of DJ Storm, enjoy Soul Train lines, snap photos at the photo booth, or simply soak in the lively atmosphere. The party will feature Island Vybz and Willie Ray’s Q Shack, renowned food trucks serving up flavors to satisfy every craving.

The event is also an opportunity to give back. Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to support the Simple and Free Pantry Exchange or contribute a $10 suggested donation (cash or via QR code). Every contribution helps support the community.

If it rains, the party will move indoors to the Senior Center Assembly Room, ensuring the fun continues.
