UNITED WAY OF JOHNSON COUNTY COORDINATES VOLUNTEER EFFORTS

United Way of Johnson County announced today that it will serve as a
clearinghouse to match volunteers with flood recovery and clean-up efforts in Iowa City, Coralville, and surrounding communities. Beginning on Tuesday, June 24, both volunteers and people with clean-up needs may reach the Volunteer Center by calling 319-337-VOLS (319-337-8657).

Thanks to all the hundreds of volunteers who have helped so much already! We are so grateful.

SPECIAL NOTICE TO THOSE WHO VOLUNTEERED TIME FOR SANDBAGGING AND/OR CLEANUP EFFORTS

Please do Iowa City a favor and go to www.icgov.org/volunteerlog to record your time. Documenting the time that you helped will improve the level of FEMA participation in our recovery. Thanks again to all those who volunteered and are volunteeering now. Please forward www.icgov.org/volunteer log to others you know volunteered so they can register.  (Note: Names will not be used for any other purpose except for compiling volunteer time.)
