Register your Property for a Garlic Mustard Pull

By registering your property you are automatically volunteering as a guide at said location.

When you register your property below, please set a date(s) and time(s) for garlic mustard to be pulled on your property. You can register multiple times. In order to register your property, it is necessary that you (the owner) be on the property and being willing to provide direction to volunteers and be willing to sign, and have all volunteers sign a Release and Waiver of Liability.

  • The City of Iowa City would be happy to provide black yard waste bags for the collection of garlic mustard. They are available both at the Parks Building at 2275 S. Gilbert (south of the Napoleon Park Softball Complex) or at Iowa City City Hall – 410 E. Washington – front lobby desk.
  • The City of Iowa City has provided a site for disposal of your garlic mustard at the Public Works Service Facility (Transit, Equipment, Signs, etc) at 1200 S. Riverside Drive (SE corner of Highway 1 and Riverside). Please dispose of your garlic mustard in the containers marked with a sign “Garlic Mustard”. These containers will be weighed and included in our total weight for the 2008 Great Garlic Mustard Challenge.
