Glossary of Apartment Advertising Abbreviations

| Eff | Efficiency |
| Pkg or o.s. pkg | Off-Street Parking |
| A/C | Air Conditioning |
| C/A | Central Air |
| C/H&A | Central Heat & Air |
| W | Water |
| E or elect | Electricity |
| G/E | Gas & Electricity |
| H | Heat |
| Util or Utils | Utilities--water, electricity and gas-if the add says utils inc. or utils paid that means that utilities are included in the price of the rent. If it says + utils that means that you will pay for utilities in addition to your monthly rent. |
| Bus | The rental unit is on a bus line |
| Disposal | Garbage disposal |
| D/W | Dishwasher |
| W/D | Washer dryer (this usually means that the washer and dryer are in the apartment/ rental unit) |
| W/D hook-ups | This means that you can hook up your own washer and dryer |
| Lndry | Laundry facilities on site (this will usually mean coin-operated machines unless the ad says free laundry) |
| Micro | Microwave |
