Hydrant Flushing Schedule
Iowa City Water Division is flushing fire hydrants in the Market St., Davenport St., Governor St., Fairchild St. Church St., Brown St., Ronalds St., N. Dodge St, S Gilbert St, McCollister Blvd, Hollywood Blvd, Sycamore Mall, Scott Blvd, Lower West Branch Rd, and Court St areas.

The Future is Clear for the Iowa City Water Division. Water quality is our primary commitment to the citizens of Iowa City. The Environmental Protection Agency's Safe Drinking Water Act provides the rules and regulations to ensure safe drinking water for all of our customers, 24 hours a day.

The Division is comprised of water treatment, distribution, and customer services. Iowa City’s water treatment facility at 80 Stephen Atkins Dr., provided an average of 5.3 million gallons of water a day to customers in 2007. The new state-of-the-art water purification facility began providing water to the community in March of 2003.
