Silver Swing
The Silver Swing band is a group of about 20 "over-50" folks who enjoy playing music from the 30's and 40's. Members are also a part of the larger Iowa City Senior Center's "New Horizons Band.
The Silver Swing group has been playing together since about 1997, and has played at community celebrations, dances, retirement parties, conference banquets, fraternal club meetings, fund raising events, nursing homes, as well as past annual Hills Bank barbecues.
The Silver Swing band is directed by a graduate student, and rehearsals are held at the Senior Center. Call the Center at 356-5220 for rehearsal days and times as they change every semester.

The Silver Swing assemble for a "formal" photo shoot.
