Water quality is our primary commitment to the citizens of Iowa City. The Environmental Protection Agency's Safe Drinking Water Act provides the rules and regulations to ensure safe drinking water for all of our customers, 24 hours a day.

The Division is comprised of water treatment, distribution and customer services. Iowa City’s water treatment facility at 80 Stephen Atkins Dr., provided an average of 6.0 million gallons of water a day to customers in 2013. Iowa City's state-of-the-art water purification facility provides a high quality, abundant water supply to the community.
